The final Villanova newsletters for 2014 gave detailed information on a myriad of activities in the areas of music, sporting fixtures, excursions, Reflection Days, Senior Graduation Mass, Vincent de Paul hampers for the poor, a College Council meeting, student ministry group activities, etc.
St Augustine’s newsletters reported a Year 10 outdoor education camp, the Year 12 Formal, an open day for students beginning at the college in 2015, three separate Awards of Excellence evenings for the Senior, Middle and Junior schools.
Other end-of-year tasks related to preparatory steps for 2015, including book lists, vacation sports programs. Late December and early January then becomes the time for renovation and repair work of the school grounds and buildings while the students are absent. In the second half of January a New Staff Orientation Day and three or four full Staff Days before Australia Day.
And then, ten months further down the track, the 2015 school year will end – and the annual cycle a begins yet again!
